Sapa is located in the north of Vietnam and in the middle of the breaktaking landscapes. It’s one of the most beautiful places not only in Vietnam but in Asia as well. With ethnic cultures and bracing mountain air, it’s a magical combination of landscapes. This trip will bring you though the excellent views of the valley, the magnificent limestone, the paddy fields of H’mong village, and give you an oppotunity to explore daily activities of the local ethnic peoples.

Day 1 HANOI – TRAIN TO LAO CAI (no meal)

Be ready at your hotel lobby at 7:00 p.m, our driver will meet and pick you up for a short transfer to Hanoi Railway Station to catch the overnight train to Lao Cai City. Stay overnight on train (Superior Compartment with soft berth air-con, private cabin).

Day 2 LAO CAI – SAPA – HOMESTAY (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

Sapa 45Local guide will pick you at Lao Cai Railway Station in the early morning. Transfer (35 km) to Sa Pa, the best resort of the Northern Vietnam with cool climate all year round, where includes hundreds of different minority people. Check-in hotel for relax and have breakfast. Take the paths along the valleys between mountains to get to Laochai village. Enjoy the overall pictures of the villages among terraces and visit the H’mong living in wooden and bamboo houses. Continue going to Ta Van village to visit the Dzay minority. Ta Van is one of the most beautiful villages in the whole mountain region in a dream landscape. Stay overnight at homestay in Ta Van village.

Day 3 SAPA TREKKING (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

Sapa 42After the breakfast we continue to take the road to Giang Ta Chai village of the Red Dzao minority via the paths between terraces and through bamboo forests. Visit Silver Waterfall and suspension Rattan Bridge, visit the people in the village and then cross Muong Hoa River up to the mountain to visit the last village of the trek – Supan village of the H’mong. On the way back to Sapa, enjoy visiting the ancient stone circle where stones are decorated with ancient carvings. Stay overnight in Sapa.

Day 4 SAPA – LAO CAI – TRAIN TO HANOI (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

NO MARKET (Monday / Friday)

After breakfast we trek to visit Ham Rong Mountain. Enjoy the landscape of the town and its surroundings with cool air for all year round. View the highest mountain in Vietnam – the Mt. Pansifan in the southwest of Sapa. Then go back to the main road to be transferred back to Laocai. Relax at mini hotel in Laocai to take shower. Then transfer downhill to Lao Cai Railway Station to take the night train which arrives in Hanoi early at 05.30 to 06.00 next morning. Stay overnight on the train (Superior Compartment with soft berth air-con, private cabin). Upon arrival, transfer back to your hotel.

 

Sapa 43MARKET OPTIONAL (Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday / Saturday / Sunday)

Drive to Bac Ha to experience the Bac Ha Sunday Market of Flower H’mong people, the largest minority market in the entire mountain region. Every Sunday, the different and colorful ethnic minority come all here to sell their homemade products or buy something for the family. They are Hmong, Phu La, Back Dzao, Tay or Nung minorities. Some of these ethnic minorities can’t be met in any other areas. Visit the house of leader of H’mong village. Then transfer downhill to Lao Cai Railway Station to take the night train which arrives in Hanoi early at 05.30 to 06.00 next morning. Stay overnight on the train (Superior Compartment with soft berth air-con, private cabin).

Day 5 TRAIN TO HANOI - HANOI (no meal)

Upon arrival, transfer back to your hotel. End of the tour.
