Cat Tien National Park is one of the largest national parks in Viet Nam. With its bio-diversity and abundant natural resources, the park has become an ideal habitat for many rare and endangered species of animals and birds such as: deer, boar, rabbit, peacock, tiger, gaur, etc… In order to discover the park, we have put together a 3-day back to nature program.

Day 1 HOCHIMINH CITY – NAM CAT TIEN (Lunch/Dinner)

Drive to Cat Tien National Park in Dong Nai Province (150km). The road passes several rural sights before branching off to the national park. Check in the park’s guest house on arrival. The rest afternoon is free for birding along the road or trails. An incredible diversity of birds and mammals live in the forest and wetland habitats of Cat Tien, including an estimated 230 species of birds. Endangered birds that can be found here include Germains Peacock-Pheasant, Green Peafowl and the very elusive Orange-necked Partridge. Mammals that can sometimes be seen include wild boar, Samba Deer, the rare Black-shanked Duoc Langur, Yellow-cheeked and Crested Gibbon.
