Phong Nha 3

Phong Nha Caves are the complex of 14 grottoes situated in a region of Limestone Mountains in Ke Bang National Park. About 300 caves have been counted in this area so far. This proves the significance of this karsts cave system of which Phong Nha Cave, known as being among the longest and most beautiful karsts caves in the world, has been listed by UNESCO as a world natural heritage site.

Paradise Cave – the most spectacular cave recently found in the core zone of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park’s area, has been opened to the public. Paradise Cave discovered by scientists of the British Caving Research Association in 2005, has the length of 31km, the longest dry cave in Asia. The cave is 31kms long and the 1km path which is open to travelers is filled with exquisite formations. With naturally primitive, you will get really amazing with this cave as a paradise.

Day 1 HOI AN – HUE (Lunch/Dinner)

Huế 13At 8:30 a.m., you will be greeted at the hotel in Hoi An by our driver and guide. Depart directly for Hue via the imposing Hai Van Mountain Pass, a part of Truong Son mountain range running down to the sea to cut in the high way. After lunch, we start to discover Imperial Citadel where the Nguyen’s Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945 including Flag Tower, Noon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace, and Forbidden Purple City. From here take a cyclo through ‘Old City’ to Tinh Tam Lake where the Emperors used to come to relax. Then you will board a boat for a cruise on the romantic Perfume River heading out for the countryside. Continue to visit Thien Mu (Celestial Lady) Pagoda which is considered the symbol of Hue, and of Buddhism in Vietnam. Evening enjoy Hue Traditional Music (Ca Hue) on a boat on Perfume River. Stay overnight in Hue.

Day 2 HUE CITY TOUR (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

After breakfast, we go visit King Minh Mang’s Tomb and King Tu Duc’s Tomb, and head to the vibrant Dong Ba Riverside Market, a great place to catch a glimpse of everyday life. Then transfer to Dong Hoi City, Quang Binh Province. On the way, we stop over at La Vang Cathedral (which despite its years of turmoil remains an important pilgrimage site for Vietnam’s Catholics). Then have a short stop to see some of the most famous battle-field in Vietnam War – Ben Hai River, Hien Luong Bridge lying in the Demilitarized Zone of the Vietnam War. Stay overnight in Dong Hoi.

Day 3 HUE – PHONG NHA CAVE OR PARADISE CAVE (Breakfast/Lunch)

Morning drive to Ke Bang National Park and the take a boat trip on the Son River from a critical point of the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail to Phong Nha Cave. The boat will take you as far inside as Bi Ky Chamber where you will find traces of ancient inhabitants. After on boat for 700m, a large dry passage is appear, then you can walk to discover the cave for 500m more. You will have a chance to explore the remains of Cham Altars and Inscriptions inside. Return to Hue in the late afternoon (or transfer to airport for departure flight). End of the tour.

 

Thiên Đường 10Option 2 – PARADISE CAVE

Morning, drive to Ke Bang National Park to visit Paradise Cave. From the ticket gate you will be transferred to the base of stairs (approx. 500 steps) which leads to entrance of cave. Then you descend into the cave, and walk over 1 kilometer on well maintained and tasteful boardwalks and platforms, you will be surprised with a series of white crystal stalactites resembling glass pillars and many other spectacular formations. Return to Hue in the late afternoon (or transfer to airport for departure flight). End of the tour.
