Ninh Binh is picture-perfect Vietnam – lush green fields, towering limestone mountains, tranquil waterways, charming historic sites and friendly locals. This city is famous for: Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, Tam Coc – Bich Dong and Cuc Phuong National park. The main discovering place in this tour is Cuc Phuong National Park which is home to an amazing diversity of flora and fauna. A number of species in the park are listed on Vietnam Red Book of endangered species.

Day 1 HANOI – CUC PHUONG (Lunch/Dinner)

In the morning, transfer to Cuc Phuong National Park (120 km) from Hanoi. This is home to over 2,234 vascular and non-vascular plants, 2,000 kinds of insects, 308 species of bird, 135 mammals, 122 kinds of reptiles and amphibians, etc. Upon arrival, visit the Visitor Centre, the Botanical Garden with a collection of 252 species of rare plant and the Endangered Primate Rescue Centre, followed by a seminar on primate rescue, trekking to the Cave of Prehistoric Man (0.3 km walk). Continue to take a trek (6 km) to the 1,000-year-old tree (Terminalia myriocarpa) on a scenic trail. Stay overnight in Cuc Phuong.

Day 2 CUC PHUONG – NINH BINH – HANOI (Breakfast/Lunch)

Morning visit unspoiled villages, immense rice fields in the center of the Red River Delta, visit Bich Dong Temple and relics of Hoa Lu (Ancient Capital) (Dinh dynasty in the 10th century). Get on a small boat to row along the small canal in the rice field to visit Tam Coc (Three Grottos) considered as “Halong Bay on land”. Go visit Kenh Ga and get on a small boat to travel along Kenh Ga (Chicken Canal) to enjoy the beautiful landscape surround dings, and visit fish floating village. Then drive back to Hanoi. End of the tour.
